As an international student pursuing further studies outside Canada, you might qualify for some form of financial assistance. However, strict eligibility criteria may prevent some students from qualifying for such assistance.

Financial assistance provided by organizations within or outside Canada may include:

  • scholarships, grants, and/or bursaries, which do not have to be reimbursed after completing your studies;
  • student loans, which have to be reimbursed after completing your studies.

As a starting point, we recommend that you begin your inquiries with organizations in your country of citizenship or permanent residency. Some international mobility opportunities, such as an exchange program through your local educational institution outside Canada, may offer some form of financial assistance.
